About Me

Hello! I'm Andy, a Senior Software Engineer based in New York City with nearly a decade of experience building and scaling mobile applications.

My professional journey has taken me through prominent tech companies like Automattic and Tumblr, where I've spent years specializing in Android development and mobile architecture.

A key highlight of my career was co-leading the greenfield development of the Freeform (formerly ABC Family) app for Disney. As one of two engineers, I helped build the app from its initial concept to a high-traffic application with millions of downloads.

Beyond my day-to-day work, I'm passionate about building and exploring new technologies. I've independently designed, built, and launched a complete personal finance application from scratch, which was a deep dive into my interest in the fintech world.

This blog is where I document my work, explore new interests like cybersecurity and my personal homelab, and share lessons from my life as an engineer, husband, and father.
